Check-In

(14) Check-in process
- Once you have booked the flat, you will get an email from the landlord with instructions for your check in.
- Your booking will be finalized once we receive the prepayment on the booking.
- When you arrive to Barcelona, you will get the keys, pay the rest of the amount, etc.

(15) Payment at the check in
You can pay with cash or credit card.

(16) Check ins: Monday-Friday 13:00 - 18:00 Check in outside office hours implies an extra fee of 45 €. Between 23:00 - 08:00 (regardless weekday) 65 €.

Deposit to be refunded

(1) Do we get the entire deposit back at the end of the stay? Once your stay comes to an end, we evaluate the condition of the accommodation. If there has been no damage done to the flat/room, you will get the whole sum of the deposit back.

(2) What is the deposit? The deposit is an amount that is paid as a warranty to cover any damages or situations that might occur during your stay in the apartment. The deposit is normally paid by bank transfer when you book an accommodation. This amount is  returned when you have ended your stay.

 

General

(54) Renting a room? Renting a room is a similar process to renting an apartment, only difference being that the cost is less important. You can choose the size and location of the flat to share.
We put you in contact with the landlord of the room. Renting a room is an ideal option for those who wish to meet new people. The rooms are mostly rented out to students and professionals under the age of 35.

(413) “Sleeps” This refers to the number of people that can sleep in the apartment. This number is recommended or provided for shorter, holiday stays. In case of stays longer than one month it is better to choose a property that we recommend to be more appropriate and convenient for longer stays.

(7) Utilities Included: rooms always and flats for less then 30 days. Not included: flats for stays of 30 or more days, in this case the utilities bills will be paid at the end of the stay.

(11) Are the rooms in shared flats exclusively for students? The shared flats are exclusively for students and for people under the age of 35.

(12) Sheets and Towels: In order to guarantee a healthy stay, on arrival at the office during the check-in, every client will receive a set of BRAND NEW sheets and towels to be used in the flat during their stay.

(100) Baby cot and baby chair We offer this service for stays shorter than 30 days.
You must inform us of your requirements at the time of your reservation so that we can ensure that the equipment is available.

(91) Elevator The elevators are not always suitable for people with disabilities.

(97) Animals Pets and animals are not always permitted. In some cases they are permitted without a cost and in other cases a charge is included.

(1001) Do I need to bring anything? You do not need to bring any towels or bed linen. These will be provided when you arrive.

(1002) Who should I contact in the case of an emergency during my stay? In case you have any problems or questions regarding the apartment you should contact the caretaker that gave you the keys. Moreover, you can contact Barcelona-Home.com for anything else you might need.

(2001) Internet available in flat. The internet connection in the apartment is paid for by the landlord. You may use this connection during your stay free of charge.
Due to this, you will not be reimbursed if any problems occur with the connection during your stay.

(2002) What does Internet optional means? (only for stays more than 30 days).

Optional Internet means that there is no Internet installed in the flat at the moment, but that the landlord does not mind if you would like to install it. This means however that the client has to arrange everything in his name, and neither Barcelona-home nor the landlord take any responsibility in this process, that may take up to three weeks.

 

Payments

(8) Only for stays for 30 days or more: How do we pay the bills for water, gas and electricity? At the time of check-out, in cash.

(409) Nights Barcelona-home calculates the total price of a stay based on months (a month being 30 days).
The price of each night is calculated from the monthly price and divided by 30 nights.

Example of calculation for  nights:
Length of stay: From June 10 to September 2.
Total: 84 nights

Month 1 (30 nights) = 700€ (monthly price)
Month 2 (30 nights) = 700€ (monthly price)
Nights  (24) = (700€ / 30 nights) X 24 nights = 559.99€

Total for 84 nights (2 months and 24 nights extra) = 1959.99€

(*) The monthly price can vary in each case.

(406) Deposit This refers to the amount that the tenant pays as a deposit or guarantee, which shall be returned at the end of the stay (Paypal).

(98) Cancellation Insurance We offer cancellation insurance, which allows you to receive the amount paid for the reservation, in case your trip is cancelled.
Cancellation more than one month before the time of arrival, you will retrieve.......70%
Cancellation less than one month before the time of arrival, you will retrieve.......40%

(1000) Is it safe to pay by credit card? Payment is done directly through the bank´s electronic facilities, which dispose of the latest online security. Under no circumstances Barcelona-Home.com or any of its employees have access to your credit card information.

 

 

Reservations

(2005) Do I have to pay any commision or additional contract fee to Barcelona-Home? No, we don't charge any additional fees since the landlords pays to advertise their flats on our website.

(29) If I have made a payment  for an apartment in advance, will I get my money back if I decide to no longer move into the flat as agreed? In that situation we can offer you a cancellation insurance.

(30) How to find a flat in Barcelona?
1. In the web calendar, you choose the type of accommodation, number of persons, entry date and date of departure and click the search button to proceed the search.
2. You will then see all available offers
3. The accommodations can be bookmarked as favourites which means that they will be seen in your favourite's list.
4. To reserve an accommodation you must then fill in the form
5. Make the payment of the reservation by bank transfer or by creditcard (PayPal).

(1003) When is the booking confirmed? The booking will be confirmed when we receive the deposit of the rental and after Barcelona-Home.com sends you the confirmation e-mail.
