Barcelona-Home has a lot of experience with interns and receives many applications from students from all around the world. We always try to assign the intern with tasks and projects that correspond to their education and interests.
Barcelona-home mainly offers internships to students (Obligatory Internships) but can also provide Voluntary Internships.

  

Obligatory Internships - the internship is an Obligatory Requirement for your Degree. Your school/university will have to provide us with a contract for the Internship. It should be drawn in three parts; one for the student, one for the university and one for us.
Voluntary Internships - a voluntary internship will provide the ideal opportunity to gain work experience. (Please contact Barcelona-Home for further information)

Barcelona-Home can provide internships involving some of the following assignments depending on your abilities and interests:

- Handling bookings and customer enquiries (This includes answering e-mails, answering phone-calls, face-to face contact with clients and correspondence with existing clients)
- Apartment viewings and other customer related work
- Projects within the Marketing and Communications departments (maintenance of existing marketing relations and creation of new ones)
- Translation work for our websites and marketing products

Barcelona-Home is a Spanish company that provides accommodation for students and people who are coming to Barcelona to work, to study, for vacation and so on. We offer many extra services such as tours and guestlists. Our main objective, as a company, is to provide the highest level of service to all our clients in order to meet all their wishes. Training period:
The internship will be in English. In the beginning the student will need some training but later on he/she will be able to carry out a wide variety of tasks and take on increasing responsibility throughout the internship. It is very important in this company that the student works on their own personal development every day.
 

Tasks of the intern:
- Administration and booking of apartments
- Daily contact with international customers (in person, on the telephone or by email)
- Marketing activities
- Participating in several projects
- Translating texts
- Dealing with complaints
- Working with intranet
- Training and managing interns
- Sending newsletters
- Visiting apartments with customers
- Organizing extra services

Currently available internship positions:

Internship at check-in department:

Minimum duration: 3 Months

1 available position. Bonus involved. Includes working hours during nights and weekends.

Tasks: customer contact via email, telephone and face-to-face. Check-ins.

Requirements: advanced level of English and Spanish. Knowledge in other European languages would be an advantage. We are looking for focused, organised and independent person.



Internship at marketing department:

Minimum duration: 3 Months

3 available positions. Unpaid.

Tasks: administration and booking of apartments, marketing activites, translation work, etc.

Requirements: advanced level of English, knowledge in Spanish and other European languages is an advantage. Professionalism and an independent state of mind are valued.

The internship may be part-time or full-time and is not paid, however while assisting with customer service department you will have a chance to earn a bonus of up to 500€ / month.

If you are looking for an internship in Barcelona, Barcelona-home offers amazing opportunities in internships!

You have the choice of paying:

-300 euros for the whole internship period or

-if you rent accommodation with us we will put 50% of that 300 euros to your rent (only for one month rent)


If you speak and write Spanish and you stay for more than 5 months you will get paid 300 euros a month. Please ask more information if you are interested in this offer.

Ya se que esto no es esperado, ni necesario pero a mi me gusta agradecer a las personas que han tomado parte en las experiencias de mi vida.

Jag gjorde min praktik hos Barcelona-Home vilket var väldigt intressant och roligt.

Jag jobbade väldigt mycket med marknadsföring inom sociala medier som är ytterst akutellt inom dagen samhälle. Jag fick lära mycket om hur man använder sig av bloggar, Facebook, Twitter osv.
Andra arbetsuppgifter som jag hade var kundservice vilket innebar att ta hand om kunderna som kom till kontoret för att leta efter boende, svara på deras mail och hjälpa till med bokningar.
Jag deltog även i olika projekt gällande marknadsföring vilket var väldigt kul! Speciellt att jobba i en grupp med människor som man tycker om.
Eftersom jag studerar markandsföring var detta en väldigt lärorik praktikperiod för mig.

Under min praktikperiod fick jag även möjlighet att förbättra mina kunskaper inom engelska och spanska. Det uppskattar jag mycket med tanke på karriärsmöjligheter detta kan ge i framtiden.

Mina kollegor var väldigt snälla och lättsamma att jobba med. Det var en väldigt trivsam arbetsmiljö vilket är otrolig viktigt för att man ska trivas på sitt jobb.
De jag jobbade med kom från olika delar av världen vilket gjorde allt ännu mer intressant och jag trivs med att jobba i en internationell miljö.

The internship at Barelona-Home was a very interesting experience. Working in customer service department I had an opportunity to improve my Spanish skills. I was responsible for making the bookings, contacting the clients, answering emails and calls with customer enquiries as well as showing the apartments. I was also helping the marketing interns with promotion projects and translation tasks.

The atmosphere in the office was very friendly and all the stuff were very helpful.

Barcelona is an amazing city to live in and enjoyed it very much. Working in an international environment was a chance to meet new friends from different countries and learn more about other cultures. Overall, I think the work placement was a valuable experience and helped me gain skills that are relevant to my course of study and I will be able to use those in the future employment

I would recommend this internship to anyone who is motivated, willing to learn and work in a team but also wants to have a nice time here in Barcelona.
